The Basket of Dreams, Inc.
was founded in November 2002, and is a 501 (c) 3 organization. At present the
program exists in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 5307 E. Pine Street.
The goal of the program is to support and provide positive
academic, life/social skills development and athletic activities and programs
for youth ages 10-18 in both formal and informal settings, with a view towards
encouraging individual growth and achievement. The
Basket of Dreams, Inc. seeks to promote positive interaction for
youth in their homes, schools and communities. the promotion of coordinated
efforts with youth service entities will assist the
Basket of Dreams, Inc. in preparing youth for a fulfilling life.
The Basket of Dreams, Inc.
endeavors to foster social/life skill development of youth through positive
social and athletic experiences and exposure to positive role models. The
Basket of Dreams, Inc. develops
programs and provides activities that create opportunities for development of
the entire human potential (mind, body and spirit) of young men and women
through sports and activities.
The purpose of the Basket of
Dreams, Inc. is to work in tandem with parents, education systems
and social agencies on the city, state and federal level, by providing a support
system for the community and the youth participating in the program.
